PARKING
There is a large parking lot at 140 Richmond Street. If you are familiar with the area you can also type in Old Town Music Hall. Please park at this lot or in this area - the lot is usually wide open and FREE. I won’t be able to help you if you get lost, as I will be photographing a client. So please have this information ready. Meet me at the corner of Richmond and E. Franklin Ave. This is where your session will start. I like to keep the session fresh and moving, so be ready to walk around in this area to get several different looks. Afterwards, plan on having dinner at one of the many eateries in this area. Making it a fun and memorable evening.
PETITE SESSION: 15-minutes
Petite Sessions are long enough to get you a full gallery of images. I have a lot of experience and know how to get many images for you in a shorter period of time. However, we are limited to one location. Please be ready to go when it is your time. I will stay on schedule and will make sure all clients get their full amount of time.
WHAT TO WEAR:
We will be using red brick walls as our background. Yellows and blues look amazing as contrasting colors. Think about your shoes. You going to be in an urban setting - it could be fun to be in flip-flops, it also works for high-heels. Think about what you look best in. “Coordinate” everyone else’s outfits with yours. Just like you would put an outfit together, use your outfit to bring all of the colors together. I usually pick a neutral and then two colors that complement one another. Blue and Yellow. Cream and Blue. Stay away from different shades of red. If you look up palettes for holiday family sessions you can get a lot of ideas on what colors look best together.
CHILDREN: DO NOT OVERLOOK YOUR CHILDREN’s shoes - when sitting on laps, or being on dad's shoulders, they are visible in the photo. Also, make sure socks match. If you have a younger daughter in a dress, please have a diaper cover over her diaper. Make sure to check your children one more time as you get out of the car. Clean out any sleepy eyes, and any residual food on faces. I can’t get as close as I used to, so it is up to you to check. Make sure they are well fed and have water for them to drink before our session starts.
KEEP PURSE, SUNGLASSES, PHONES in the car -- or bring one bag for all of your belongings. Truly the session is so short and will be right by your car -- it’s better to not have anything in your hands or pockets.
BREATHE. This is going to be fun. I know how to keep everyone engaged and I try to make it as fun as possible. I want you to not only look at these beautiful photos and see your family, but I want you to remember the memory around them.
